The sun, mild temperatures, and its huge sandy beaches, make Lisbon one of the nicest cities in Europe, mainly for beach lovers. Lisbon is the only European capital with a beautiful and varied coastline. The quality and cleanliness of the water is rewarded every year by awarding many blue flags. To the west of the city are the beaches of Cascais and Estoril, and those south of Costa da Caparica.
For fans of surfing or even beginners, Costa da Caparica this is a very good plan!
Favorite neighborhood of Lisbon’s night, Bairro Alto, known by regulars on the “bairro”, is unrecognizable to the visitor who discovers the day or night. Indeed, this vibrant neighborhood at night, with its more than 250 bars and restaurants. This district moves a lot and he always is crowded. The more you climb the stairs, the more expensive the cocktails are. Very nice as a concept.
Belém remains more a must for all gourmets, because it is here in the Antiga Confeitaria de Belém, that you can taste authentic pastéis de nata, here called “Pasteis de Belém” not to be confused with their more or less good copies that can be tasted in Portugal or elsewhere. They are DELICIOUS!

Furthermore, in this part of the city, you can find the Belem Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is undoubtedly one of the most emblematic monuments of Lisbon, if not even Portugal. Also you can admire the Monument to the Discoveries, Padrao dos Descobrimentos, and the bridge of the 25 April, which looks like at the bridge of San Francisco.

Food specialties are varied, the dishes are hearty and ten euros you can break your belly to feast. Cod with all sauces, grilled sardines, octopus (I love fish), meat dishes are also delicious … There is also the typical dish of Portuguese barbecued chicken, called churrasco.
