DISCOVER | 13 Pulsions’ drawings

drawings

Hello all, ☀

Again today I have someone new to introduce to you, The great 13Pulsions. He felt in an artistic environment since his youth and share through his drawings all his mixing cultural background (an italian mother and a colobian father). His art works is easily recongizable by his own unique path.

The cultural mix he was brought up with reflects in his work: his use of colour, the sunny notes in his music or the figures and ideas you see in his designs. His artist name, 13Pulsions, is an idea he found in his Psych studies: it’s his own absurd version of Freud’s drive theory of motivation (called “a pulse”).

Long before his artist name, 13Pulsions was already making art. When he was 15 he used to make graffiti paintings with friends. Even though he started with painting letters, he soon switched over to faces. He doesn’t approve of illegal graffiti or graffiti as a means to damage places, that’s why he often spent 2 months in Barcelona during the summer, as graffiti is legal there. 13Pulsions’s work is very influenced by hiphop and the street art scene. He also likes to incorporative humor in his work, and even when something is negative, he likes to give it a positive twist. He style is often compared with modern comic books.

We selected for you today few of his drawings we like the most, pretty amazing right ? We have another good news for you then. You will find them all in our futur project: MyPixwap ! Don’t miss it and help us launching it by subscribing here. ❤
